My name, Anurag, translates to 'Love.' It is more than just a name; it is the driving force behind everything I do and the standard to which I hold my practice. I have walked, and I continue to walk my own intentional path of inner work, learning firsthand what it takes to heal and grow. Because of that journey, my mission is to provide that same healing place and a source of genuine connection for you. In our therapeutic relationship, you will find a dedicated partner who believes in your capacity to heal through the power of love.

Healing requires looking at the whole picture. With a Graduate education in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Doctoral Degree (DMin) in Pastoral Care and Counseling, I approach therapy from a robust systems perspective. This means I don't just look at struggles in isolation; I look at the entire ecosystem of your life—your history, your family dynamics, culture, spirituality, and the patterns that shape how you move through the world.

In addition to my advanced clinical training, I bring over 15 years of experience serving as a hospital Chaplain and a teacher of spiritual care and education in healthcare settings. This unique background deeply equips me to integrate clinical psychotherapy with honoring the unique spirituality of each person I work with.

While I lean into the evidence-based science of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to reshape emotional bonds, I am equally dedicated to honoring your spiritual life. I welcome your faith and/or spirituality, your existential questions, and your connection to the 'Divine/Holy/One greater than I am' into the room as vital resources for your healing journey

I earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (CACREP-accredited) from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I am an ordained minister of the Word and Service with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (Certificate #1730516) as of January 22, 2024.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My training includes an EFT Externship (June 2023), Core Skills Training in EFT (May 2024), and the Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy Essentials Course (July 2025).

I am dually licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (License #20406A) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (License #A20435). As an associate, I practice under the supervision of a qualified supervisor.
